Night Crawl

How it started…

It all began in 2008…

When I was 18, I got my first car. Even though I drove my mothers Toyota Matrix from the day I got my permit, I couldnt call that my own. And in three years I had saved up enough to get myself a 2004 350z. I was a skater kid, and grew up skating the griddy Chicago streets with my boys, so it was natural that drifting was something I was going to learn about on the internet. When I picked up the 350z, it was instant that I started planning modifying the wheels and dropping it lower. And not long until I started going to car meets with friends, looking for a street race.

One day I found about Chicago Street Drifting & guys known as The Risky Devil. I fell in love with the style, the music, it was like watching DEATHWISH or SHAKEJUNT skate videos. Full of style, maxed with cool characters. The cars just mirrored the way the drivers saw life on the road.

(First drift video I saw.)

Immediately, I located the spots in this video, and started going there to practise with my homies I skated with. I had a Sony VX2000 video camera that I used for shooting skate videos of myself for the shop I sponsored. So we brought the camera and collected footage of my progress. I never ever thought that I will start shooting videos for living.

A few years later…
